The competition was fierce, fun, and delicious. Donley Ford of Mt. Vernon’s own Melissa Ruhe scored a victory in the Donley Auto Group Chili Cookoff Competition on Friday, Nov. 15. He bested all our Mt. Vernon co-workers to win the dealership crown and earn a berth in the company semifinals. The company cookout featured delicious chili made by employees from Donley Ford of Mt. Vernon, Donley Ford of Ashland, Donley Ford of Galion, and Donley Ford of Shelby. Money raised from the company cookout benefitted the United Way.

All staff could participate by bringing chili, or they were able to donate $5 and taste all the pots of chili. After eating all the fantastic chili recipes, participates voted for the winners. Each dealership had a winning representative, and they earned a berth on the semifinals. Gina Koppler scored a victory for Donley Ford of Ashland. Tim McCane won the crown for Donley Ford of Galion. Luther Gray represented Donley Ford of Shelby with his win. The trio joined Tim Melissa Ruhe in the semifinals.

Each semifinalist won a trunk tote, a T-shirt, and miscellaneous items. Judi, Ben, and Ryan judged the finals and declared Luther Gray, from Donley Ford of Shelby, the overall winner. He was awarded an apron, a trophy, a new crockpot, and bragging rights.

Donley Ford of Mt. Vernon says thank you to our entire team for supporting the United Way and creating an awesome event with outstanding chili. We are home to all your Ford cars, trucks, crossovers, and SUV models.
